　AMNA /Prescription of generic drugs has recorded a steady rise in the
first three weeks of the implementation of a new electronic prescription
measure, according to figures announced on Wednesday by the ministry of
health, following a meeting at the Unified Primary Healthcare Organisation
(EOPYY).
According to data based on the 10 top drastic substances prescribed
by physicians, 49 pct of the drugs prescribed in the first week of the
measure were brand-name and 51 pct generic, whereas in the second and
third week of the measure 45 pct were brand-name and 55 pct generic
