[01] Stocks end 6.77% down in week
AMNA / Stocks ended higher for the third consecutive session at the
Athens Stock Exchange on Friday, slightly reducing their sharp weekly
losses.
The composite index of the market rose 0.59 pct to end at 744.37
points, after rising as much as 2.15 pct during the session, for a
net loss of 6.77 pct in the week. The index was down 47.35 pct so
far this year. Turnover, however, remained a disappointing low 40.341
million euros.
The Big Cap index rose 0.75 pct, the Mid Cap index ended 1.58 pct higher
and the Small Cap index rose 0.21 pct. MIG (8.7 pct), OPAP (5.31 pct),
PPC (4.07 pct) and Alpha Bank (2.63 pct) were top gainers among blue
chip stocks, while Jumbo (2.94 pct) and Coca-Cola 3E (2.88 pct) were
