The last Sunday in August, which fell on Aug. 28 this week, traditionally
marks one of the biggest returns of holiday-makers back to the cities
from Greece's provinces and islands. Traffic, expectedly, was heavy at
the main port of Piraeus, with dozens of ferry boat routes carrying
thousands of local and foreign tourists back to the greater Athens
