[01] Inflation down in April
ANA-MPA/Greek inflation dropped to 3.9 percent in April from 4.5
percent in March, and against a rise of 4.8 percent in April 2010,
according to figures released by the independent Hellenic Statistical
Authority (ELSTAT) on Monday.
According to ELSTAT, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in April 2011
compared with April 2010, increased by 3.9%. In April 2010, the annual
rate of change of the CPI was 4.8%.ana-mpa
The CPI in April 2011 compared with March 2011 increased by 0.6%. In
April 2010, the monthly rate of change of the CPI was 1.2%.
In the twelve-month period from May 2010 to April 2011 compared with
the period from May 2009 to April 2010 the annual average rate of
change of the CPI was 5.0%. The corresponding annual average rate of
change of the CPI in the previous year (May 2009 to April 2010), was
1.9%.
