    [02] Terror safehouse weapons 'clean'

(ANA-MPA) -- Police on Tuesday said three AK-47 assault rifles, seven automatic handguns and one revolver found in a suspected safehouse allegedly belonging to the "Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire" urban terror group in the Nea Ionia district, just west of the central Greece city of Volos, have not been used in any terrorist attacks, according to ballistics findings on the weapons.

Six people were arrested during a police raid at dawn on Monday. Three of those arrested were already wanted on outstanding terror-linked warrants, namely, Georgios Nikolopoulos, 25; Christos Tsakalos, 31, and Ntamiano Bolano, 24. The latter was identified as an Albanian national.

The ballistics investigation is continuing to ascertain whether the weapons have been used in other criminal actions, police added.
