[01] Latest opinion poll unveiled
(ANA-MPA) -- The latest in the ubiquitous Sunday opinion polls gave
ruling PASOK party a 2.3-percentage point lead over main opposition New
Democracy party.
PASOK is preferred by 21.9 percent of respondents to 19.6 percent for
ND. Additionally, the communist party (KKE) is preferred by 8.3
percent; the Popular Orthodox Rally (LA.OS) by 5.6 percent; leftist
SYRIZA by 2.6 percent; the newly formed Democratic Alliance gets 2.4
percent and the also recently established Democratic Left 2 percent.
A 3-percent threshold is necessary to enter Parliament.
The poll was published by the Sunday weekly "Proto Thema" and conducted
by the firm Alco.
