[01] Profit-taking drops bourse
Profit-taking caused stocks to post significant losses on Friday at the
Athens Stock Exchange, with the composite index of the market down 2.34
pct to end at 1,506.32 points. Turnover was a low 81.23 million euros.
The Big Cap index dropped 2.56 pct, the Mid Cap index was up 1.21 pct
and the Small Cap index rose 1.79 pct.
Only chemicals (2.09 pct) posted gains during the session, while Mass
Media (4.23 pct) and Foodstuffs (3.16 pct) posting the biggest losses.
Broadly, advancers trailed decliners by 56 to 112 with another 49
issues unchanged.
