Equity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Friday on the
Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down
0.89 percent, standing at 1,480.29 points at 11:15 a.m, and turnover
at 15.961 million euros.
Individual sector indices were moving downwards, with biggest losses in
Media, down 4.82 percent; and Food and Financial Services, down 2.53
percent.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down
1.00 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.48 percent, and the
FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.68 percent.
Of the stocks traded, 11 were up, 53 were down, and 18 were unchanged.
