[01] Two injured in armed robberyANA-MPA/Two employees of a tourist office in the western port of Kyllini, in the NW Peloponnese, were injured during an armed robbery on Wednesday.According to eye-witnesses a lone perpetrator initially shot one of the employees in the legs because he refused to hand him over days receipts, which he transferred from the office to a ferry boat. A second employee noticed the incident and attempted to help his colleague, with the robber shooting him in the abdomen. The suspect and an accomplice fled without taking the money. Both victims are hospitalised but are not in danger. [02] KKE visits Mideast embassiesA Communist Party of Greece (KKE) delegation on Tuesday visited the embassies of Iran, Lebanon, Syria and the Palestinian Authority in Athens, respectively, in order to be briefed by the respective foreign diplomatic missions over their governments' positions on Mideast issues, as well as to present its positions.The party also issued a statement referring to the "the dangerous condition that is being created for the peoples of our region, as well as the Greek people, from the imperialistic designs and Greek government's involvement in these". The action comes a week after a closely watched official visit to Greece by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a joint volition by the two countries to increase cooperation on every field, developments that KKE sharply criticised. [03] ASE opening: RiseEquity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Wednesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.94 percent, standing at 1,558.67 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 8.826 million euros.Individual sector indices were moving mostly upward, with the biggest gains in Food and Beverages, up 2.52 percent; and Public Utilities, up 2.01 percent. The biggest losses were in Media, down 2.56 percent, and in Chemicals, down 0.23. The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 1.04 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.05 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.02 percent.
