    The Saturday edition of Athens' dailies at a glance

    The rise in inflation and its impact on the economy and the government's talks with the European Commission (EC), European Central Bank (ECB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) 'troika' on public utilities', state hospitals' and local governments' deficits were the main front-page items in Athens' dailies on Saturday.

    ADESMEFTOS TYPOS: "Desperate Greeks, due to the crisis, selling off personal belongings".

    APOGEVMATINI: "Inflation 'heatwave' puts 'freeze' on the market - CPI jumped to 5.5 percent in July".
