[01] Thessaloniki metro works
Construction work on the Thessaloniki metro resumed on Monday after a
9-month-long interruption.
The tunnel-boring machine (TBM), at the AUTH university construction
site, is currently in operation roughly 30 meters below the earthâs
surface and excavation works have an average pace of 10 meters a day.
The Thessaloniki metro will cover a distance of 9.6 km, from the
western to the eastern part of the city, and feature 13 stations.
