  • [01] Easter exodus begins

    Tens of thousands of urban dwellers are leaving the cities across Greece to celebrate Easter in the provinces this Sunday.

    All passenger airlines have scheduled a number of additional flights for the Easter holiday season to facilitate holidaymakers.

    Commercial flights are approaching 70 pct passenger capacity and the most popular domestic destinations are Thessaloniki, Iraklion and Rhodes, while Cyprus, Paris and Rome are the most preferred destinations abroad.

    Hellenic Railways (OSE) has increased the number of available seats, while the intercity bus operator (KTEL) has announced additional bus schedules.
