[01] PM Papandreou addresses EU summitBRUSSELS (ANA-MPA/V. Mourtis) - Prime Minister George Papandreou, addressing the European Union summit here on Thursday evening, stressed that Greece is ready and determined to make the necessary changes and take immediate institutional measures for the economy. The Greek prime minister was the first and only leader to raise the issue of the Greek economy, since by the time he had made his address none of the other European leaders had made any reference. Papandreou further said that he is determined to change Greece's economic model and called on the EU's 27 leaders to work together and cooperate with a sense of support and solidarity.
