[01] Stocks end up on Wed.
Stocks ended up on Wednesday at the Athens Stock Exchange with the
composite index of the market gaining 0.84 pct to end at 2,295.65
points. Turnover was a low 132.4 million euros, of which 2.8 million
were block trades.
Sector indices moved mostly upward with Insurance(3.90 pct), Health
(2.34 pct) and Banks (2.14 pct) posting the biggest gains. The biggest
losers of the day were Commerce (2.82 pct), Food and Beverages (1.40
pct) and Travel and Recreation (0.81 pct).
The FTSE 20 index ended 1.15 pct up, the FTSE 40 index gained 0.73 pct
and the FTSE 80 fell 0.02 percent.
From the stocks moved, 98 ended up, 107 declined and 43 remained
unchanged.
