[01] Summer mass exodus
Residents of Athens leave the city on Saturday for their summer
vacations. Greeks use every kind of transport to flee to the islands,
especially to the Cyclades complex. On Saturday, 105 passenger ships
will depart from all the major ports of Greece. Traffic is heavy on the
national roads and police has taken extra measures to facilitate the
travelers exit from the city. According to authorities, 150,000
vehicles have passed from the national roads' tolls. Airlines flights
from Athens are near capacity.
The weather is fine and the wind velocity in the Aegean Sea will reach
6-7 degrees on the Beaufort scale.
