[01] Athens Stock Exchange opening: RiseAthens Stock Exchange opening: RiseEquity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Friday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.97 percent, standing at 2,235.00 points at 10:45 a.m., and turnover at 11.5 million euros. Individual sector indices were moving mostly upward, with the biggest gains in Health, up 2.09 percent; Travel & Recreation, up 2.81 percent; and Insurance, up 2.01 percent. The biggest losses were in Public Utilities, down 1.59 percent; and Oil & Gas, down 0.52 percent. The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 1.06 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.87 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.48 percent. Of the stocks moved, 80 were up, 13 were down, and 16 were unchanged.
