[01] David Landsman new British envoy to Athens
LONDON (ANA-MPA / L. Tsirigotakis) - Britain's new ámbassador to
Athens David Landsman will be in Athens by the end of the week to
assume his post, according to an announcement by the Foreign Office
on Monday.
It will be Landsman's second tenure in Greece, since he served at
the British embassy in Athens between 1991 and 1994, in the position
of secretary responsible for bilateral economic relations.
The new British envoy is quite familiar with the Balkans, having
served in the UK's diplomatic missions in Tirana and Belgrade, as
well as for various Foreign Office departments on issues concerning
the Balkans and southeastern Europe.
