    The economy and finance ministry on Friday announced that public investments via the National Framework Strategy Reference programme reached 9.6 billion euros in 2008, more than 350 million euros higher than originally budgeted.

    The figures were announced after a meeting held at the ministry, chaired by Minister George Alogoskoufis.
