    Equity prices are diving on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 4.35 percent, standing at 1,814.51 points at 12:15 p.m., and turnover at 50.6 million euros.

    Individual sector indices were moving mostly downward, with the heaviest losses in Banks, down 5.05 percent; Travel and Recration, down 5.01 percent; Industrial Products, down 4.79 percent; and Public Utilities, down 4.30 percent.

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 4.64 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 3.25 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 3.37 percent.

    Of the stocks moved, 22 were up, 150 were down, and 13 were unchanged.
