    A Maltese-flagged cruiseship collided into an anchored cruiseship in Piraeus port on Monday morning, as it was maneuvering to dock, causing material damage, but no injures were immediately reported.

    The accident occurred as the Maltese-flagged "Zenith", with 1,819 passengers and a 619-member crew aboard, rammed into the stern of the Greek-flagged "Aegean Pearl", which had 504 passengers and a 349-member crew aboard, as the latter was anchored at the Akti Xaveriou pier.

    The Monday edition of Athens' dailies at a glance

    The 'new era' in relations between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Patriarchate of Moscow and All Russia, the new Municipal Servants' Code, the Siemens affair, the FYROM issue, and the rumors of a new "businessmen's" political party, were the main front-page items in Monday's dailies.

    ADESMEFTOS TYPOS: "Thousands of municipal employees in line for transfer - How they can change service and transfer to other public sector agencies".

    APOGEVMATINI: "New era in Ecumenical Patriarchate-Moscow Patriarchate relations", noting that, after eight years of tension, the two most powerful leaders of Orthodoxy once again in contact, and adding that Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Moscow Patriarch Alexius, with their joint liturgy on Sunday in Kiev (marking the 1020th anniversary of the conversion of Ukraine Russians to Orthodoxy) they sent the message that unity comprises an attainable goal.

    AVRIANI: "Three more PASOK (main opposition party and former government) cadres 'burned' - Implication in the Siemens 'black' accounts and the kickbacks for the C4I (Athens 2004 Olympic Games security system, which was never delivered)".

    CHORA: "Mamma mia! Rumors of parties of economic magnates and messiahs, transfers and business in a problematic market of 10 million people. Who are trying to combine money and politics, and why".

    ELEFTHEROS: "He planted bomb at Maximos Mansion (government headquarters) - The Economy minister (George Alogoskoufis), with his proposal for co-government with PASOK".

    ELEFTHEROS TYPOS: "The 'damned' of Patras", adding that 'they escaped the hell of Afghanistan seeking a better tomorrow, and met misery and poverty", referring to "a thousand people living as a separate community in a three-stremmas (prime) land plot they've 'taken over' in the coastal zone of Patras, a few meters from the port".

    ELEFTHEROTYPIA: "They're playing with the '152' (the number of ruling New Democracy MPs in the 300-member parliament, following the recent return of Independent MP Costas Koukoudimos to the ND ranks) - Koukodimos returned, but it doesn't seem like he brought 'spring' to ND".
