[01] Poll shows concern over pricesSeventy-one percent of respondents in a latest opinion poll to be unveiled in an Athens daily over the weekend picked the high cost of living as the pre-eminent problem faced today by the country.Unemployment, picked by 42.7 percent of respondents, figures as the second biggest problem, followed by the state of the economy, at 40.5 percent. Some 57.6 percent of respondents said they are facing difficulties with their finances, while 31.3 percent of the former believe they will not improve their financial situation. In terms of culpability, 55.6 percent of respondents answered that both major political parties, ND and PASOK, bear the same responsibility for the state of the economy; 20.8 percent blamed previous PASOK governments and 22.6 percent blame the current ND government. The opinion poll was conducted by the Kapa Research firm and published in the Sunday edition of the Athens daily "Vima".
