[01] Zachopoulos's former associate begins testimony
The former associate of former culture ministry secretary general
Christos Zachopoulos began her testimony before a special investigator
at noon on Monday. The 34-year-old woman is being charged with
felonious extortion and for participation in suicide with possible
intent, charges that she is denying.
According to her lawyer, the woman denies that she was blackmailing the
former culture ministry secretary general and that she was having a
personal relationship with him.
Earlier in the day, testimonies were made before the special
investigator by Zachopoulos's wife Persa, his friend and film producer
George Mylonas and by one of the former secretary general's
secretaries.
This woman witness reportedly spoke to the investigator of a quarrel
that she had noted between Zachopoulos and the accused woman about a
month ago.
