[01] New regulations on alcoholic beverages
The finance ministry on Friday announced new regulations aimed to
improve the existing situation in the production and distribution of
alcoholic beverages, especially the export of wines and spirits, while
at the same time simplifying procedures in the production and
distribution phase.
Changes include, among others, certain production practices (i.e. the
addition of flavoring, herbs, spices, sweeteners etc.) and the use of
traditional specialty brands of spirits, such as "tsikoudia" and
"tsipouro".
