[01] Air China to begin flights to Athens September 1st
Air China will begin scheduled flights from Beijing to Athens in
autumn, Greek Transport and Communications Minister Mihalis Liapis said
on Friday.
Speaking to reporters, the Greek minister said flights will begin
September 1st. The flight programme, in its first stage, envisages two
weekly flights from Beijing to Athens via Dubai, with the option of
abolishing the Dubai stop in the future depending on passenger
traffic.
Liapis said this was a significant development for Greece as it created
many growth potentials and opening up a channel to attract a large
number of Chinese tourists to Greece.
