[01] .PM Karamanlis confers with merchant marine minister Kefaloyannis
Prime minister Costas Karamanlis will meet Monday with merchant marine
minister Manolis Kefaloyannis, at the government headquarters at
Maximos Mansion.
Later, Karamanlis will attend the swearing-in ceremony of new
employment and social protection minister Vassilis Magginas at noon, in
the presence of President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias.
On Monday evening, the premier will depart for the eastern Aegean
island of Kasos on a navy gunboat "Kasos", and is due to arrive on the
island on Tuesday morning, where he will spend May Day and speak with
residents and representatives of the local authorites, before returning
to Athens.
