[01] Lavrov-Bakoyannis talks focus on Iran, Cyprus
Visiting Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis met in Moscow on
Thursday with her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
The two ministers' talks focused on Iran and the Cyprus issue, on which
Lavrov reiterated Moscow's steadfast position and Russia's support to
UN Undersecretary-General for political affairs Ibrahim Gambari's
mission.
Gambari will visit Ankara, Athens and Nicosia early July in order to
sound out the situation on a possible resumption of the dialogue on
Cyprus.
Lavrov and Bakoyannis also discussed the latest developments in the
Middle East.
