[01] Gov't OKs employees' input on reforms at state firmsThe government will ask the managements of state-run corporations and utilities to commence immediate consultations with employees' representatives in order to implement high-profile reforms for the enterprises, Finance Minister George Alogoskoufis said on Wednesday.Implementation of a relevant law was going well in many areas, but would be accelerated, he said. Olympic Airlines, which is due to be privatised, does not fall under the law's jurisdiction, Alogoskoufis told reporters before an inter-ministerial meeting convened to focus on the issue. Despite some delays, implementation will take place within the law's timescale, he added. After the meeting, the minister reported that pay rises in loss-making state companies would not exceed 3 percent.
