[01] Loeb makes history by winning 52nd Acropolis Rally
France's Sebastien Loeb, the reigning world champion, notched his fifth
consecutive victory on Sunday -- an unprecedented feat -- by winning
the 52nd Acropolis Rally. Driving a Citroen Xsara, Loeb finished 1:
36.2 seconds ahead of Finland's Toni Gardemeister, who drove a Ford.

[02] Greek leadership issues statements on occasion of Int'l Anti-Drug
Day
President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias on Saturday issued a
message on the occasion of the International Anti-Drug Day, noting that
the commemoration was not suited for either well-wishing or lofty
proclamations, but instead for communal self-criticism over a problem
that threatens a dynamic part of the world's population.
On his part, Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis on Sunday unveiled a
national action plan in the fight against drug use.
The premier, accompanied by his wife Natasa, made the comments while
attending a charity basketball match at a central Athens sports club.
