    The Panhellenic Federation of Journalists Unions (POESY) has called a 24-hour nationwide strike in all the mass media in Greece beginning at 6:00 a.m. Thursday and running through 6:00 a.m. Friday.

    In a show of support, the Union of Athens Daily Newspaper Personnel (EPIEA) will hold a three-hour work stoppage on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    Due to the strike, which also affects Athens News Agency (ANA) staff, no news services will be dispatched by the ANA for the duration, while a security staff will be on stand-by in the event of urgent news.

    We ask our subscribers for their understanding.

    The ANA news services will resume normally as of 6:00 a.m. Friday.

    [02] 24ωρη Πανελλαδική απεργία στα ΜΜΕ που κήρυξε η ΠΟΕΣΥ

    Η Πανελλήνια Ομοσπονδία Ενώσεων Συντακτών (ΠΟΕΣΥ) αποφάσισε να κηρύξει 24ωρη πανελλαδική απεργία σε όλα τα ΜΜΕ της χώρας απο τις 6 το πρωϊ της Πέμπτης 7 Φεβρουαρίου έως τις 6 το πρωϊ της Παρασκευής 8 Φεβρουαρίου.

    Εξάλλου η Ενωση Προσωπικού Ημερησίων Εφημερίδων Αθηνών (ΕΠΗΕΑ) πραγματοποιεί σε ένδειξη αλληλεγγύης τρίωρη στάση εργασίας απο τις 13.00 έως τις 16.00 της Πέμπτης 7 Φεβρουαρίου.

    Η απεργία, η οποία αφορά και τους εργαζόμενους στο ΑΠΕ, πιθανότατα δεν θα επιτρέψει την αποστολή των διαφόρων δελτίων και τη λειτουργία των δημοσιογραφικών υπηρεσιών μας.

    Ζητούμε την κατανόηση των συνδρομητών μας.

    Κατά τη διάρκεια της 24ωρης απεργίας θα υπάρχει προσωπικό ασφαλείας για την περίπτωση έκτακτου σημαντικού γεγονότος.

    Τα δελτία του ΑΠΕ θα αρχίσουν να μεταδίδονται κανονικά απο τις 6 το πρωϊ της Παρασκευής 8 Φεβρουαρίου.

    Scattered cloud is forecast throughout the country, turning to light rain in the west. The morning will be misty. Winds southwesterly, light to strong, turning very strong in the Ionian. In the north, temperatures will range from 1C to 18C; on the rest of the mainland and the Ionian from 4C to 20C; and in the Aegean islands from 10C to 18C. Mostly fair in Athens, with temperatures between 7C and 18C. Same in Thessaloniki with temperatures from 3C to 16C.
