[01] Papandreou meets former US president Bush in Athens

Foreign Minister George Papandreou sat down to a working breakfast with
former US president George Bush senior on Tuesday, who is in Athens to
attend a conference organised by the 'Economist' magazine.
In statements to reporters afterward, Papandreou said it was an honour
to have the former US president as a guest, describing him as a friend
of Greece. He also congratulated Bush on the election of his son as the
43rd president of the United States, and said that they had discussed
developments in the region, particularly the Balkans.
