Athens 2004 Olympic Games Organising Committee President Yianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki will be the guest of honour at an official luncheon to be given on Monday on the occasion of the seminar to be held in Athens for Balkan News Agencies on the issue of "Sports and the Olympic Games in the Digital Era."

The seminar, which is hosted by the Athens News Agency (ANA), will be inaugurated by the Culture Ministry's Special Olympic Games secretary Costas Kartalis.

It will be attended by the general directors of Balkan News Agencies (Albania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece, Moldova, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Romania and Turkey) and by two members of each agency's sports and photography departments.

The purpose of the seminar will be the acquisition of experience in covering the Athens 2004 Olympiad.

    [02] Joker-OPAP-Winner

    07/01/2001 19:32:40

The Soccer Pools Organisation (OPAP) announced it will be delivering a cheque for three billion drachmas to the winner of the Joker Christmas draw at noon on Monday, without it being certain the winner will appear in person.

It is almost certain that the cheque will be received by a representative of the winner who, as it is already known, played a system for 1,500 drachmas prepared by George Petropoulos' agency on the island of Tinos.
