Greece insists that talks on the Cyprus issue should be of substance so
that the problem my finally be resolved, and was concerned with the
obstacle that arose following an ambiguous statement by the UN
Secretary General calling for recognition of an 'equal status' of the
two sides in the comprehensive settlement of the Cyprus problem,
foreign minister George Papandreou said Friday after talks with UN
chief Kofi Annan.
