[01] Go ahead given for 81.8 million Leader+ programme for rural
development in the Spanish region of Galicia
The Commission approved the EU Initiative LEADER+ programme in the Spanish
region of Galicia. Welcoming the decision, Franz Fischler, Commissioner for
Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, said : "This programme aims
to pilot new ideas to help build a more sustainable society, economy and
environment for rural Spain. We want to improve the quality of life for all
those who live in rural areas. Leader+ will help to add value to local
products and to make the best use of natural and cultural resources". The
total public expenditure under this programme is 81.8 million, over a
period ending in 2006. This includes an EU contribution of 54.5 million.
[02] Go ahead given for 100.5 million Leader+ programme for rural
development in the Spanish region of Castile-Leon
The Commission approved the EU Initiative LEADER+ programme in the Spanish
region of Castile-Leon. Welcoming the decision, Franz Fischler,
Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, said : "This
program aims to pilot new ideas to help build a more sustainable society,
economy and environment for rural Spain. We want to improve the quality of
life for all those who live in rural areas. Leader+ will help to add value
to local products and to make the best use of natural and cultural
resources". The total public expenditure under this programme is 100.5
million, over a period ending in 2006. This includes an EU contribution of
69 million.
[03] Go ahead given for 22.9 million Leader+ programme for rural
development in the Spanish region of the Canary Islands
The Commission approved the EU Initiative LEADER+ programme in the Spanish
region of the Canary Islands. Welcoming the decision, Franz Fischler,
Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, said : "This
program aims to pilot new ideas to help build a more sustainable society,
economy and environment for rural Spain. We want to improve the quality of
life for all those who live in rural areas. Leader+ will help to add value
to local products and to make the best use of natural and cultural
resources". The total public expenditure under this programme is 22.9
million, over a period ending in 2006. This includes an EU contribution of
15.3 million.
[04] Commission approves 11.2 million Leader+ programme for rural
development in the Spanish region of La Rioja
The Commission approved the EU Initiative LEADER+ programme in the Spanish
region of La Rioja. Welcoming the decision, Franz Fischler, Commissioner
for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, said : "This program aims
to pilot new ideas to help build a more sustainable society, economy and
environment for rural Spain. We want to improve the quality of life for all
those who live in rural areas. Leader+ will help to add value to local
products and to make the best use of natural and cultural resources".The
total public expenditure under this programme is 11.2 million, over a
period ending in 2006. This includes an EU contribution of 5.6 million.
