  • [01] Commission authorises the acquisition of the joint control of the BBC's home service transmission by an international consortium

The European Commission has decided to give the go-ahead to the acquisition of the joint control of the UK company HSCo which comprises the business of the BBC's home service transmission. This joint control will be exercised by Castle Tower Communications and Berkshire Fund IV LP of the United States, TéléDiffusion de France International SA and Candover plc of the UK. The joint venture will principally provide terrestrial transmission services in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
