MOSCOW - German Chancellor Helmut Kohl said on Saturday after talks with
President Boris Yeltsin he expected to settle differences of opinion with
Russia over NATO expansion in the course of this year).

MOSCOW - The Kremlin is prepared to discuss relations with NATO but remains
firmly opposed to the western defence alliance's plans to expand eastwards,

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday proposed to ban
the practice of feeding reprocessed animal tissue to other animals in a move
to protect livestock from the dreaded mad cow disease and a possible spread of
the fatal disease to humans.

WASHINGTON - President Bill Clinton has decided to extend the suspension of a
law that would allow U.S. citizens to sue foreign companies that have invested
in confiscated property in Cuba, U.S. sources said Friday.

BRUSSELS - The European Commission on Friday welcomed news that the United
States will further suspend the introduction of a law allowing Americans to
sue foreigners with certain investments in Cuba.
