Mr Erdogan claimed, inter alia, the following: ".We shall continue our positive approach. However, we must accept the following: There are two parts, two languages in Cyprus. Both sides must mutually show respect to the law. As long as they do not do this, reaching a solution will be difficult. This (the Cyprus problem) is brought to us as an issue related to the EU. However, they should not put this before us. Cyprus was not in the package (Copenhagen package). Bringing the issue before us, in spite of the fact that it was not included in the package, is tantamount to trying to earn something from the situation. We could not accept such a de facto situation".
