The Planning Bureau of the Government of Cyprus, in co-operation with the University of Cyprus, the University of Malta and the Arkansas State University announce the organization of an

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

EFFECTS OF ECONOMIC GLOBALIZATION

AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION

ON SMALL COUNTRIES

Location: Nicosia / Cyprus

Date: 4-6 September 1996.

The world-wide trend towards economic globalization and regional economic integr ation poses new challenges for small countries. The International Conference in Nicosia / Cyprus aims at providing a forum for the discussion of the emerging pr oblems and alternative strategic options to respond to current conditions from t he perspective or small countries.

The target group of the Conference are high ranking Government officials, offici als from International Organizations, academics, business people from all over t he world, with a particular interest on the development of small countries.
