[01] Economic protocol signed between Cyprus and Russia
An important new economic protocol was signed today by Cyprus' Finance
Minister Takis Clerides and the Acting Finance Minister of Russia Dr
Aleksey V. Ulyukaev.
It comes at the end of the deliberations of the Second Meeting of the
Cyprus-Russian Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation held in
Nicosia.
The protocol reflects the possibilities of cooperation between the two
countries in traditional sectors such as trade, investments and manufacturing,
as well as transport and tourism. It also outlines the prospects for
cooperation in new sectors such as services, design and technology.
