[01] Publications by the Department of Antiquities
The Department of Antiquities has announced that its annual reports for the
years 1992 and 1993 are now available.
The annual reports focus on the Department's general policy with regard to
monuments and archaeological sites. They also present the department's
major projects of restoration and conservation under way or completed
within the year, the results of excavations carried out by its archaeologists
and by various foreign university archaeological missions and a catalogue
of important antiquities acquired through rescue excavations or donations.
Other publications now available from the Department of Antiquities are the
following: "Report of the Department of Antiquities 2000, "Pithoi of the
Late Bronze Age in Cyprus - Types from the major sites of the period" by D.
Pilides, and "The Problem of Unpublished Excavations-Proceedings of a
conference organized by the Department of Antiquities and the Anastasios G.
Leventis Foundation, Nicosia 25-26 November 1999.
