[01] Accreditation of new Cyprus Ambassador to Syria
New Cyprus Ambassador to Syria Mr Platonas Kyriakides presented yesterday
his credentials to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Dr Bashar-al-
Assad.
Presenting his credentials, Mr Kyriakides thanked the President of Syria
for his country's continuous and consistent support to the just cause of
the people of Cyprus and stressed the need for a peaceful settlement of all
disputes and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions as well
as of other international organisations.
