[01] President Clerides in Athens
President Glafcos Clerides arrived in Athens yesterday where he met with
his Greek counterpart, Costis Stefanopoulos.
He is also expected to meet with Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis and
other officials.
He is accompanied by Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Defence Minister
Socrates Hasikos and Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou.
This is the first leg of a trip abroad that will also take him to London
and New York, where he is due to address the UN General Assembly on 23
September.
