[01] Foreign Minister leaves for Stuttgart
Cyprus Foreign Minister, Ioannis Kasoulides, left for Stuttgart, Germany,
yesterday to take part in the Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Conference to
be held between April 15-16.
From Stuttgart, Kasoulides will visit Brussels between April 17-18 to
address a seminar on Cyprus organised by the European Commission.
[02] Cyprus joins European research programme
The European Parliament today approved Cyprus' association with the 5th
framework programme of research and technological development.
The aim of the programme, in which all EU member states participate as well
as applicant states and third countries such as Switzerland and Israel, is
to encourage cooperation in the field of research and technology.
Participation in this five year programme is on the level of research
centres as well as private institutions of the countries entitled to
participate.
