[01] US would welcome the release of American soldiers
The US would be very happy to see the release of the three American
captives held in Belgrade., US State Department's Spokesman Mr James Rubin
stated yesterday.
Asked to comment on the initiative undertaken by the President of the
Cyprus House of Representatives Mr. Spyros Kyprianou, Mr Rubin said that
the US would welcome the release of the servicemen on unconditional terms.
Mr. Rubin added that the US is making arrangements to secure a safe flight
to Belgrade for Mr. Kyprianou today.
