[01] Foreign Minister to hold contacts in European tour
Foreign Minister Ioannis Kassoulides will hold contacts with his counterparts
from Germany, Austria and Belgium in an effort to brief foreign officials
on the Republic's European course and the Cyprus problem.
Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides announced yesterday that the
Minister's tour will begin on March 15. He will first fly to Germany.
Mr Stylianides also announced that Germany's envoy for the Cyprus problem
Detlev Graf zu Rantzau will be in Cyprus for meetings on March 8.
We believe meetings with Foreign Ministers help in that they understand
today's political climate and our strategy for EU accession in achieving
some developments in the Cyprus problem, he said.
