[01] Foreign Minister meets with Greek counterpart
Cyprus' Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides had a meeting last night with
the Greek Foreign Minister Theodoros Pangalos.
Speaking after the meeting, Mr Kasoulides said they had reviewed developments
round the Cyprus problem and Cyprus' EU accession course.
"We exchanged views as to how best to co-ordinate efforts towards finding a
solution to the Cyprus problem, particularly short-term efforts due to take
place up until the forthcoming elections in Turkey, aimed at the implementation
of UN Security Resolutions 1217 and 1218", he said.
"We also discussed Cyprus' accession course, particularly its political
ramifications, as well as how to make sure entry proceeds unhindered,
technical issues and co-ordinated the actions that need to be undertaken",
he added.
