Cyprus` support to the efforts of the special mediator for Syria Staffan De Mistura, and the disagreement of the country with the idea of ​​imposing sanctions on Russia, was conveyed by Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, who participated in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) EU held today in Luxembourg.

During his intervention in Council, Minister Kasoulides stressed that the cessation of hostilities in Aleppo should be quickly agreed in order to urgently allow humanitarian aid and then move the processes of political transition in the country. I.

[02] Minister of Agriculture raises the issue of unused funds under NER300 funding program

The issue of unused funds under NER300 funding program, was raised by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Nickolaos Kouyiales, who participated today at the EU Environment Council in Luxembourg.

During his intervention at the Council, the Minister called on the European Commission to find as soon as possible and before the end of 2016, a way to make the most of funds under NER300, in order to ensure the implementation of already selected projects.

The NER300 is the largest funding instrument in the world, for the promotion of innovative technologies in the energy production from renewable sources.
