[01] Cabinet appoints new Cyprus Airways Board
The Cabinet appointed on Wednesday the Chairman and members of the new
Cyprus Airways Board, with immediate effect.
According to an official press release, businessman Antonis (Tony)
Antoniou has been appointed Chairman.
The new members are Marinos Kallis, Andreas Papadopoulos, Constantinos
Papanastasiou, Andreas Petrou, Panicos Himonas, Marios Hadjigavriel,
Panicos Courides, Marios Efthymiou and Demetris Yiannakis.
[02] Cyprus and Spain sign agreement on security matters
Cyprus and Spain signed on Wednesday an agreement with a view to
facilitate the Spanish government`s actions aiming at the management of
crises in the Middle East, enhancing in this way the cooperation of the
two countries in security issues.
According to an official press release, the agreement constitutes a
tangible proof of Cyprus' role as a factor of stability in the region.
A similar agreement was signed on April 4 with Canada.
