    Houston based Noble Energy stands committed in carrying out the confirmation drilling in Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone, Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides has said.

    He also noted that the company has once more expressed its full cimmitment for the exploitation of the natural reserves in Cyprus' EEZ the soonest possible.

    Speaking to the press following a meeting of President Nicos Anastasiades with Noble's Chairman Charles Davidson, Stylianides noted that the confirmation drilling is set to begin in June and will last approximately three months. After the drilling is over, there will be a clearer picture on the exact amount of the natural reserve.

    A total of 6.000 people who transferred money out of Cyprus before the bank restrictions were imposed are included in the list which was given to the House Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration from the Central Bank. The list refers to bank transfers which took place between 1-15 March, 2013.

    Chairman of the House Committee Demetris Syllouris told the press that the list was revealed on Tuesday before the MPs, adding that the Parliamentarians have expressed their disappointment and frustration because they were not given all the data they demanded from the Central Bank. He said that the data provided refer only to the period between 1-15 March.

    [03] Foreign and Energy Ministers pay a working visit to Israel

    Cyprus-Israeli bilateral relations, cooperation in energy matters, commerce and tourism, the Cyprus issue and developments in the EU's Southern Neighborhood are on the agenda of high level talks Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides and Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis will have in Israel.

    According to an official announcement, the two Ministers depart on Monday for a working visit to Israel. They will meet with Israel's President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Energy Minister Sylvan Shalom, Tourism Minister Uzi Landau and Deputy Foreign Minister Zeev Elkin.

    Moreover, Lakkotrypis will have a separate meeting with Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Naftali Bennett.

    [04] Cyprus' trade deficit falls in Jan-Feb 2013

    Trade deficit decreased by 100 mln euros during the first two months of 2013, standing at 577.97 mln, from 677.92 mln during the same period last year, the Statistical Service announced on Tuesday.

    This is a result of a decrease by 80 mln in imports (799.71 mln) and an increase of 22 mln in exports (221.74 mln) in January and February.

    Moreover, according to preliminary estimates for Foreign Trade of Cyprus in February 2013, total imports/arrivals were 391,6 mln, of which 273,9 mln were arrivals from other EU member states and 117,7 mln imports from Third Countries.
