    The clocks moved forward an hour at 03.00 hrs local time (01.00 GMT) in the early hours of Sunday morning, signaling the beginning of summer time.

    Summer time, otherwise known as daylight saving time, is a way of making better use of daylight in the evenings during the longer days of summer and is implemented by all European countries.

    On October 27, winter time kicks in once again, signaling a change in time by one hour backwards.
