[01] Banks hold meetings with Central Bank to examine consequences of
bailout levy
A number of meetings are being held at the Central Bank where technical
issues are being examined following the decision taken at the Eurogroup
summit in the early hours Saturday on a controversial levy imposed as
part of an EU bailout deal with Cyprus.
Cyprus' commercial banks' executives are taking part in the meetings
at the Central Bank in an effort to coordinate actions to deal with the
consequences deriving from the levy decision.
The Cooperative Central Bank is also holding a meeting on similar issues.
